Responsibilities
Perform on-site technical service including equipment installation, maintenance, service, and calibration
Take on a leadership role in developing equipment installation efficiencies and time management skills
Use monitoring equipment to test water quality to assure established standards are being met
Perform water analysis and/or collects samples for preparation, labeling and shipment to designated laboratory for analysis
Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot chemical feed and control equipment
Provide technical written and computer-generated service reports with troubleshooting recommendations, site conditions, test results, site deficiencies, and site corrections
Work independently with clients to troubleshoot and repair system problems and make corrections
Assemble and disassemble equipment – hose and pipe assembly, control valve, timers, resin re-bed, filter backwashes, filter media replacement, pump maintenance, membrane cleaning and replacement
Required to assist at shop facilities when necessary
Occasionally be expected to be on-call (24/7). This requires availability outside of standard business hours to support client satisfaction via phone, email, or even on-site
Daily regional travel via company service vehicle required
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and a desire to work in a hands-on environment
Previous experience working with customers with a strong focus on providing exceptional customer experience
10 years or more experience in the water industry is ideal for this candidate
Master level experience in the plumbing, mechanical, or construction fields is required
Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
Electronic controls experience required
Proficient in reading electrical schematics and diagrams
Ability to read plumbing blueprints and design layouts for system installation
High School Diploma or GED
Proficient in computer use with a solid understanding
Valid Driver's license
Ability to pass drug test/screening
Ability to pass background check
Preferred
Familiarity with control systems is considered an asset
