Responsibilities
Managing invoicing, collections, and reconciliation for sponsored research awards
Monitoring accounts and resolving billing or collection issues in collaboration with sponsors and university departments
Reviewing and interpreting award documents to ensure compliance with sponsor invoicing requirements
Creating and submitting invoices through various electronic sponsor portals
Maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders throughout the billing lifecycle
Supporting the Associate Director of Cash Management with guidance and operational support
Performing advanced data analysis and contributing to strategic initiatives and special projects
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a related field
5–8 years of professional experience, preferably in a university, research, finance, or customer service environment
Exceptional organizational, time management, and communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask and prioritize competing deadlines
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
A proactive, self-starting, and diplomatic work style
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas for data analysis
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small, collegial team
Preferred
Experience analyzing detailed financial records
Familiarity with legacy accounting systems
Experience working with SAP
