IT Service Desk Phone Technician

The California Franchise Tax Board is seeking a Student Assistant for the IT Service Desk. In this role, you will assist users with basic technical problems, provide limited technical education, and utilize the FreshService Database while adhering to the department's mission and policies.

Assist users with problems relating to the least complex user problems
Follow specific procedures and utilize the FreshService Database
Provide limited technical education
Perform all duties within the framework of the Department’s mission and values, and in accordance with the Department’s Policies and General Procedures

Required

Experience troubleshooting, installing and configuring PC software and/or Hardware
Experience troubleshooting Windows 10, 11, Apple iOS and Microsoft Office Suite
Experience providing customer service in an Information Technology (IT) environment
Experience communicating technical information to non-technical customers
Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
Able to work 20+ hours a week
