Business Development, Senior Director Team Lead

Hanwha Defense USA, Inc. is seeking a Senior Director Team Lead for Business Development to drive the organization’s strategic growth objectives. This role focuses on developing new business strategies, identifying opportunities, and building customer relationships to enhance market penetration and achieve growth.

Responsibilities

Grow the opportunity pipeline, to include existing as well as adjacent markets/customers, through diligent and timely identification/qualification of new business opportunities
Develop and execute strategic plans for the pursuit and successful winning of key opportunities
Consistent interface at all levels of management including external suppliers, clients, and competitors
Obtain marketing intelligence and competitive data pertaining to potential targeted pursuits, and develop marketing strategies
Participate in bid decisions, development of cost strategies and phase reviews
Establish, build, and maintain customer relationships and assess competitor capabilities aligned to specific customers in intelligence community
Support creation and execution of multi-year business development strategy

Required

Minimum of 15 years of relevant Business Development experiences
Minimum of 7 years of managing a team
Understanding of US defense landscape
Demonstrated success in leading and winning contracts
Ability to identify, establish and use important customer relationships with senior level officials and program stakeholders within defense community
Direct and support new business development opportunities to improve the company's business portfolio to include marketing and customer call plans
Knowledge of Government contracting and current acquisition trends and customer buying behaviors
Knowledge of competitors and ability to model competitor behaviors in the market
Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business-related discipline
Excellent written/verbal presentation and listening skills, and the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences
Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with executive level professionals
Attention to detail and comfort with data driven decision making
Must be ambitious and eager to take on new assignments/duties
