Systems Engineering Intern (Material Science)

Responsibilities
Develop techniques for Magnetics integration into various forms of packaging substrate and create characterization methodology for benchmarking
Develop feasibility plan for advanced analog power chips and system products from concept to mass production
Interface directly with TI business units and customers to define product roadmaps
Assess and negotiate IC development tradeoffs with design teams and customers
Evaluate silicon systems (hardware and software) and related documentation
Gather user requirements, translate them to functional specifications, and implement solutions and enhancement projects
Perform troubleshooting and debugging on issues related to the system
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a graduate degree in Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
Cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA or higher
Must have understanding of material science necessary for semiconductor packaging
Preferred
Knowledge of high integration of passive components in substrates, techniques and characterization
Knowledge of microelectronic fabrication including understanding of electrochemistry
Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
Ability to build strong, influential relationships
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
