Responsibilities
Establish and maintain a comprehensive risk management framework across Visa’s commercial product portfolio
Act as the First Line of Defense for identifying and managing risks in new business initiatives, third-party engagements, and internal processes
Drive global risk remediation programs and change management efforts to support business enablement and market expansion
Oversee licensing and regulatory compliance obligations related to acquisitions and new product launches
Advise on third-party risk, credit settlement risk, fraud prevention, operational resilience, regulatory compliance, and model risk governance
Monitor risk trends using data-driven insights and analytics to inform strategic decisions
Partner with cross-functional teams (Product, Compliance, Legal, Technology, Cybersecurity) to ensure cohesive risk strategies
Influence governance and oversight processes to maintain compliance and operational excellence
Establish a monitoring program to ensure ongoing adherence to controls and risk mitigation processes
Automate and standardize risk processes to enhance efficiency and scalability
Develop best practices, frameworks, and training materials to foster a culture of proactive risk management
Qualification
Required
8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred
9+ years of experience in product risk management, product oversight, or strategic planning within the payments or financial services industry
Deep understanding of B2B payments, regulatory environments, financial product and process risk frameworks, and competitive landscape
Demonstrated experience in risk disciplines (credit, operational, fraud, compliance)
Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to lead and influence across global, matrixed organizations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to articulate complex risk concepts to diverse audiences
Proficiency in MS Office; experience with Agile methodologies preferred
