Service Technician
ABB is a global market leader helping industries to be leaner and cleaner. They are seeking an experienced Senior Field Service Technician to support customers across the Western United States within the Pulp & Paper industry, focusing on preventive maintenance, technical support, and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, installation, and corrective service on laboratory and production testing instruments
Provide on-site and remote technical support and troubleshoot electro-mechanical, software, and network issues
Document service activities per ISO-certified procedures
Participate in ongoing training to meet evolving customer needs
Travel 65–70% within the territory; work model is #LI-Remote (Oregon-based)
Qualification
Required
5+ years of related field service experience
Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of calibration and electronic test equipment strongly desired
Proficiency with Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office 365
Ability to travel up to 65–70% with valid U.S. driver's license, U.S. work authorization, and ability to obtain a U.S. passport
Preferred
Associate's degree in electrical technology or equivalent work or military experience
Experience with network support, OS restoration, and software configuration
