Responsibilities

Building, leading, and growing a new Data Engineering and Data Analytics and Reporting team from the ground up in the US, expanding into Colombia over time

Collaborating with multi-location and global teams while navigating cultural and operational differences

Integrating AI solutions within data teams, both to accelerate build cycles and deliver innovative business capabilities

Delivering robust data solutions such as data lake, data warehouse, reporting, and analytics—at pace

Designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable, high-quality data solutions at pace, leveraging the latest technologies and practices

Championing a strong self-service data culture, empowering business teams with the tools, data, and insights they need to drive agility and informed decision-making

Managing key stakeholders, aligning business needs with technical solutions and ensuring clear, proactive communication

Collaborating closely with the UK-based data team, sharing knowledge and contributing to our global technical excellence

Ensuring ongoing compliance with data governance, security, and privacy standards

Evaluating, adopting, and integrating AI capabilities both to accelerate development and to deliver innovative solutions to business teams

Proven experience in an agile, startup-like environment, balancing the need for speed with uncompromising quality and compliance

Demonstrated success in setting up and scaling high-performing data teams from scratch

Strong advocate for self-service and enablement, with experience providing business teams with the necessary data tools and information to become more agile and data driven

Exceptional stakeholder management skills; able to translate business requirements into technical delivery and communicate effectively across levels

Deep understanding of data security, compliance, and privacy requirements

A passion for coaching and mentoring, developing talent, and fostering a pragmatic, delivery-focused culture

Technical expertise in Google Big Query, such as data lake and data warehouse, SQL for complex transformations, and Kafka for scalable data ingestion pipelines

Strong programming skills and comfort with modern data engineering workflows in cloud environments

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences
