Insurance and Risk Specialist

Responsibilities

Liaise with insurance brokers/carriers to maintain policy files, schedules of insurance, COI lists, NDA lists and invoicing needs
Manage SharePoint folders including adding/removing members, organizing files, and updating external facing verbiage
Manage Certificate of Insurance process: fill certificate needs for contracted third parties and guide property managers on reviewing incoming COIs
Support Enterprise Risk Management with project needs, records, and reporting
Communicate with construction project managers and acquisitions team to track Builder’s Risk, General Liability, Pollution Liability records
Support the gathering and reporting of renewal exposures and application data across multiple teams and contacts
Monitor Risk Management email distribution for customer and vendor inquiries
Support other projects and business requirements as needed on a hoc basis
Review monthly surety bond schedules and compare with internal needs
Complete quantitative analysis of premium spend and other trends
Assist with premium allocations, budgets and invoice workflow
Gather information and report workers’ compensation and property claims

Required

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Risk Management, Finance, General Business or equivalent field of study
Elevated knowledge of property & casualty lines of coverage
2+ years' experience in commercial property & casualty insurance management, underwriting, claims management, risk management or brokerage
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Excel. Power BI, Smartsheets, and RMIS software are a plus
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proven ability to manage complex projects

Preferred

Industry designations or licenses preferred (ARM, CIC, AIC, CRM, CRIS, industry licenses)
