Credentialing Specialist
Pride Health is seeking an experienced Credentialing Specialist to manage provider applications and ensure regulatory compliance. The role involves processing credentialing for healthcare providers and supporting medical staff governance in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Process initial and reappointment credentialing for physicians and allied health providers (125–200 quarterly)
Verify credentials including licensure, education, training, and professional experience
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and regulatory credentialing standards
Maintain accurate provider profiles in Echo and online credentialing systems
Track license, certification, and credential expiration dates
Prepare credentialing packets and reports for Credentials Committee, MEC, and Board meetings
Coordinate and document site-based medical staff meetings as needed
Manage medical staff dues processing
Ensure adherence to Medical Staff Bylaws across all locations
Safeguard confidentiality of all provider information
Perform additional assigned duties
Qualification
Required
Solid knowledge of medical staff credentialing processes
Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to analyze, validate, and manage large volumes of data
Self-directed with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines
Strong computer and credentialing system proficiency
Minimum 1 year experience
High School or Equivalent
Preferred
Experience with Echo or similar platforms
