Responsibilities
Establish and maintain a long-term architectural direction and strategy aligned with business objectives and priorities. Be the decider for technical disagreements between subteams, and help set team priorities
Establish and maintain a roadmap of engineering excellence work to continually improve the efficacy of the team and health of the system/ecosystem. Ensure the long-term sustainability of technical choices, making pragmatic trade-offs allowing meeting commitments effectively both in the short and long-term
Deliver high-quality individual design and coding contributions in the most challenging areas of team responsibility
Represent the team in broader technical forums, bringing back and disseminating information as useful, and advocating for team technical positions with partner teams and stakeholders
Mentor and grow more junior team members, especially the subteam TLs
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
8 years of experience programming in C++, Java, Python, Kotlin or Go
5 years of experience testing, and launching software products
4 years of experience with mission critical facilities or data centers
3 years of experience with software design and architecture
Preferred
8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms
4 years of experience working in data centers and building out infrastructure
3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction
3 years of experience working in an organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects
Experience in computer systems including software architecture and algorithm optimizations
