Coda Search│Staffing is representing a global investment firm that manages one of the largest private equity portfolios worldwide. They are seeking a Senior Associate to support Operational Due Diligence on fund investments globally, focusing primarily on private market funds and collaborating with investment due diligence teams.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage ODD reviews for fund investments across liquid and illiquid strategies, partnering closely with investment due diligence teams overseas and in New York

Apply a data-driven approach to help establish market practices and benchmarks

Assess and document fund managers’ operations, controls, and risks (qualitative and quantitative), including ongoing news and developments

Own the end-to-end ODD process: scoping, project management, on-site visits, service provider reviews, documentation, and reporting; manage external ODD consultants as needed

Monitor regulatory and market developments, evaluate impact, and provide timely, practical guidance to the business

Help improve team processes and workflows; support ad-hoc projects such as technology adoption and framework reviews

Required

3-6 years of Operational Due Diligence (ODD) experience

Strong understanding of investment operations across public and private markets, including lifecycle processes/controls/risks, valuation, investment structures, and global regulatory/compliance considerations

Comfort with business intelligence and technology adoption; familiarity with AI/data analytics tools, data management/integration, and technologies such as SQL, especially as they relate to operational processes, data integrity, and risk oversight

Strong academics; CPA preferred

Professional skepticism and risk awareness; solid commercial judgment, including experience with legal negotiations for fund investments

Self-starter who can manage a high volume of deals/projects under time pressure with minimal supervision

Willing to join periodic night calls with global stakeholders
