Manufacturing Engineering Intern

Responsibilities

Design and implement an automated overall equipment effectiveness/first time quality (OEE/FTQ) tracking system
Support Engineering in both production and office environments to ensure compliance with safety regulations and internal policies
Support engineering with tooling design, work instructions, process flow diagrams, etc
Support engineering in driving execution of specific assigned deliverables including requirements gathering, system architecture, data collection logic, and real-time dashboard development
Create work instructions, process flow diagrams and process failure mode and effective analysis (PFMEA’s)
Implement 6S activities for all production areas
Identify areas needing improvement and provide solutions
Maintain databases, spreadsheets, and prepare presentations
Maintain a safe and clean working environment
Support company vision, values, goals, and business plan
Complete a 12-week final project presentation at the end of internship
Report the progress of tasks on a regular basis
Adhere to federal and state regulations
Adhere to all company policies, processes, and procedures
Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned

Required

Junior level undergraduate student working towards a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or other relevant degree
Strong technical and communication skills
Mechanical and electrical skills
Must be able to work a minimum of 30 hours per week up to a maximum of 40 hours per week
Minimum of 3.0 GPA required to enter the program
Must be actively enrolled in school
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks
Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook

Preferred

Computer skills including Microsoft Office, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD preferred
