Responsibilities

Collaborate with Account Executives to understand client needs and craft solution strategies that align with business objectives
Lead technical discovery sessions with prospects and clients to assess requirements, constraints, and desired outcomes
Develop and deliver robust solution architectures, proposals, and clear technical diagrams for infrastructure, cloud, security, and managed services offerings
Ensure proposed solutions are scalable, secure, and cost-effective while meeting client requirements
Stay current on emerging technologies, industry trends, and Lazorpoint’s service portfolio
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams, providing technical guidance during the sales cycle
Create detailed Statements of Work (SOWs), pricing estimates, and supporting documentation for proposals
Present solutions to clients in a clear, persuasive manner that demonstrates ROI and strategic impact
Partner with internal teams (project engineering, support, sales, leadership) to ensure seamless delivery of the pre-sales engineering function
Stay current on emerging technologies and trends
Align technical strategies with broader company objectives
Work closely with delivery teams to ensure smooth transition from pre-sales to implementation
Drive technical execution during early project phases by proactively identifying risks, validating designs, and enforcing quality standards. Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and built right the first time

Required

5+ years in IT solution architecture, systems engineering, or pre-sales roles within a mature MSP or other, relevant technology consulting environment
Experience delivering infrastructure projects
Experience working with sales and engineering teams
Strong knowledge of core infrastructure, networking, cloud platforms (Azure), cybersecurity, and managed services
Cloud Platforms: Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services
Networking: Cisco and Meraki routing/switching, SD-WAN
Cybersecurity: Firewalls (Meraki, Watchguard), endpoint protection, MFA
Infrastructure: VMware and Hyper-V virtualization, storage solutions (SAN/NAS), Windows Server
Modern Workplace: Microsoft 365, Teams, Intune (Microsoft Endpoint Manager)
Scripting/Automation: PowerShell, basic DevOps concepts
Ability to align technology solutions with business goals and articulate value to executive stakeholders
Ability to serve as vCIO and vCTO for top clients
Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills; comfortable engaging with C-level executives
Ability to break down complex concepts into simple terms for consumption by non-technical clients
Ability to use AI but not rely on it to communicate with clients and internal team members

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect
Cisco CCNP
CompTIA Security+, or similar
