Responsibilities

As a Transmissions Design Engineer to be responsible for the design, development and support of elegant and safe aircraft system solutions that exceed customer expectations for mission success

As a Design Engineer you will have the opportunity to interact with Analysts, Material and Process Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, Test Engineers, and suppliers to drive designs to closure

Responsible for component design and manufacturing, have a strong aptitude for troubleshooting and problem solving, have an understanding of loading and dynamics in mechanical assemblies, be highly competitive and motivated to take ownership of commitments and meet objectives, be capable of managing complex tasks and drive them to successful outcomes, and possess excellent communication and technical writing skills

Must be a US Citizen

9 + years of experience as a Transmission Design engineer

Experience in design, development and support of elegant and safe aircraft system solutions that exceed customer expectations for mission success

Experience with gears, bearings, seals, housings, lubrication systems, and drive shafts within the drive system and utilize traditional manufacturing methods such as machining, castings, and forgings as well as advanced technologies in additive manufacturing

Experience in preparing drawing revisions and Engineering Change Orders, prepare Engineering Instructions and specification revisions, creating conceptual layouts, performing preliminary component sizing, and completing detail design tolerancing/stack-ups

Bachelor's Degree
