Responsibilities
Advise HR and management on hiring, performance, discipline, termination, accommodations, leaves, and investigations
Counsel on discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other sensitive employee matters
Develop and update HR policies, handbooks, and processes, including across international locations with local counsel support
Provide guidance on wage and hour compliance (classification, overtime, timekeeping, pay practices)
Design and deliver HR/employee training on key employment topics
Monitor legal developments and update policies, processes, and trainings accordingly
Support commercial and corporate work as needed, including contracts with employment‑related provisions
Contribute to legal templates, playbooks, and process improvements
Qualification
Required
J.D. from an accredited law school and active U.S. state bar membership in your state of primary residence
5+ years of employment law experience, with a preference for both large law firm and in‑house roles
Strong employment counseling background (more employment than traditional labor), including wage and hour experience
Experience partnering with HR and delivering employee/manager training
Exposure to international employment issues and working with foreign counsel
Excellent judgment, communication skills, and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment
