Responsibilities

Provide analysis on ship hulls and superstructures
Study design products and specifications to establish basic characteristics of a ship, such as size, weight, and speed
Lead teams from a variety of specialties to oversee building and testing prototypes
Evaluate how ships perform during trials, both at dock and at sea
Change designs as needed to make sure national and international standards are met

Required

Minimum Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
Minimum 15+ years of professional experience in Naval Architecture
Top Secret clearance
US Citizenship

Preferred

Master's in naval architecture or marine engineering
DoD/DoN procedures and Policies (DoD 5000 process) experience
