Responsibilities

Own and administer the organization’s HR technology stack (e.g., HRIS, ATS, LMS, performance management, time, and attendance systems)
Serve as the primary product owner for HR systems, managing configurations, upgrades, integrations, and vendor relationships
Partner with IT on system security, data privacy, infrastructure requirements, and AI-related risk controls
Ensure systems scale with organizational growth and evolving HR and business needs
Lead system implementations, enhancements, and process automation initiatives
Develop system governance standards, documentation, and change management practices, including guidance for responsible AI usage
Ensure systems scale with organizational growth and evolving HR needs Hands‑On HRIS Execution
Troubleshoot complex HRIS issues and perform root cause analysis
Lead Workday quarterly releases, including impact analysis, testing, and remediation
Own day‑to‑day HRIS operations, upgrades, releases, and production support
Ensure data integrity, audit readiness, and compliance with access control standards
Identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement
Support organizational changes, acquisitions, and workforce growth from a systems perspective
Other duties as assigned
Ensure compliance with applicable data privacy, employment, and record retention regulations
Maintain strong data governance practices, including access controls and audit readiness
Lead, mentor, and provide technical guidance to senior HRIS specialists
Set priorities, review work output, and ensure quality and consistency
Establish documentation, standards, and best practices for HRIS work
Serve as escalation point for high‑impact or complex HRIS issues
Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Talent, Total Rewards, Payroll, Finance, and IT
Translate business requirements into practical HRIS and reporting solutions
Act as a trusted advisor to HR leadership on system capabilities, data, and tradeoffs
Support executive and board‑level reporting as needed
Evaluate and implement AI-capable functionality within Workday and adjacent HR technologies (e.g., intelligent reporting, skills inference, workflow automation, chatbots)
Partner with HR and IT to ensure AI tools are transparent, ethical, secure, and aligned with company policies
Develop guardrails, documentation, and training to support responsible use of AI in HR processes
Monitor vendor roadmaps and emerging HR technology trends related to AI and machine learning

Required

8-12+ years of progressive HRIS or enterprise systems experience
3-5+ years leading HRIS professionals or technical specialists
Experience supporting workforce analytics and reporting preferred
Experience supporting organizations with 2,000+ employees, preferably in a technology environment
Hands-on experience with Workday Core HCM preferred
Familiarity with AI-enabled HR system capabilities, data modeling, or intelligent automation concepts
Working knowledge of Workday Security, Business Process Framework, and Reporting
Experience supporting HR system integrations and data loads
Understanding of downstream systems including Payroll, Benefits, ATS, and Finance
Strong data management, audit, and access control skills
Proven working manager who leads through hands-on execution
Strong analytical mindset with attention to data accuracy and usability
Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to prioritize and execute in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Bachelor's degree in information systems, HR, Business, or related field

Preferred

Experience supporting workforce analytics and reporting preferred
Hands-on experience with Workday Core HCM preferred
Workday certifications preferred
