Responsibilities

Performs standard or non-standard tasks related to test setup, test execution, test teardown, test item disposition, weapon maintenance, and facility operation
Extracts information from field notes, manuals, and test plans, as well as research other sources to accomplish assigned tasks
Fabricates targets, emplaces test stands, sets up and operates instrumentation, operates and maintains specialized facility equipment such as mounts, boresights, quadrants, environmental conditioning chambers, and air filtration systems
Responsible for transportation/stowage of equipment and ammunition to/around the test site, disassembly/demilitarization of target materials, firing of weapons, operation of tools, vehicles, and equipment, recording of test data, recording of test procedures and data, review of data records and reports for accuracy, trends, and procedure improvements, and collecting data from ballistic instrumentation

Required

Must have 3 years applicable experience firing weapons or equivalent test and evaluation range experience or at least 60 credit hours or an associate's degree and 1-year of applicable experience; or 30 credit hours and 2 years of applicable experience; or completion of a formal training program and 1-year of applicable experience
Shall possess basic computer skills
Shall possess an Ammunition Certification Level I in accordance with ATC Regulation 350-8 within 6 months of employment
Shall possess a license to operate forklift(s) and other required support equipment
Shall possess a clearance for unaccompanied access to Arms, Ammunition, and Explosives (AA&E) within 6 months of employment
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Must possess a valid driver's license, without special restrictions
Must pass a pre-employment drug screening periodic retest
Must be able to successfully complete a background screening
Must possess or be able to obtain a security clearance prior to employment and maintain security clearance for the duration of employment
