Responsibilities

Provide strategic guidance and support to local Quality Leadership teams across Industrial Plants to drive continuous improvement
Champion the use of problem-solving methodologies and tools to address quality concerns and enhance Quality Management Systems
Oversee and support Quality Audits within Business Division plants to ensure compliance and identify improvement opportunities
Lead resolution of escalated customer quality issues, serving as a trusted authority on Customer Quality matters
Negotiate internal agreements with Business Unit leadership to align quality objectives and resources
Implement, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality processes and outcomes
Serve as the Product Safety and Conformity Representative – Business Operative (PSCR-BO) for the North American and Mexico sub-region, adhering to defined roles and responsibilities outlined in P 170010 Annex 1 and associated competencies described in Annex 2
Maintain timely and transparent communication with Schaeffler Management regarding escalated customer issues and quality risks
Negotiate and manage agreements with customers concerning high-impact quality issues, fostering mutually beneficial solutions
Lead escalated complaint management and facilitate high-level customer discussions to resolve critical quality concerns
Coordinate the review and communication of customer-specific quality requirements to ensure alignment and compliance
Actively participate in APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) meetings for Industry products to support proactive quality planning
Deliver regional training on key quality topics, including FFQ-A, 8D problem solving, 3x5 Why analyses, and Layered Process Audits (LPA), to build capability and promote best practices

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical qualification
Over 10 years of experience in the Automotive or Industrial sector, with a minimum of 5 years preferred within Schaeffler
Exceptional engineering expertise combined with strong statistical analysis skills
Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities, with proven ability to lead teams and drive organizational change
Proven track record in customer management and effective stakeholder engagement
Strong problem-solving aptitude with the ability to conceptualize and implement solutions
In-depth knowledge of quality principles, methodologies, and industry best practices
Comprehensive understanding of key business functions, products, and processes within the Business Division
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation and multi-tasking abilities
Proficient in SAP, MS Office, and other relevant PC applications
Ability to lead by example, build strong relationships, and influence cross-functional teams
Capacity to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate assertiveness when required
Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% to North American Industrial plants, customer sites, and product containment locations
