Senior Global Events Technical Lead
Aptiv is a leader in low and high voltage power and signal distribution systems, and they are seeking a Senior Global Events Technical Lead to support their digital and live events. This role involves leading the technical execution of various events, ensuring high standards of professionalism and technical support while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end technology planning and delivery in support of Global Communications Team requirements
Develop and maintain a 'Global Event Technical Playbook' providing consistent standards and procedures for all event types
Manage logistics, technical setup, operation, and support for live, hybrid, and virtual events
Operate AV equipment including sound, projection, lighting, cameras, and streaming tools
Act with urgency and composure to troubleshoot and quickly resolve issues during live events to minimize disruption
Act as a trusted advisor and liaison across departments to ensure stakeholder alignment and satisfaction
Work closely with internal stakeholders (executives, comms, facilities) to define event requirements
Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for equipment, staging, and logistics
Support event planning, scheduling, and rehearsal activities
Coordinate with AV/IT teams to ensure flawless technical execution of live, hybrid and virtual events
Manage the setup and operation of video recording and conferencing platforms and event hosting platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Webex, Zoom, VIMEO and other enterprise-grade broadcast tools
Ensure high-quality audio-visual production for both in-person and remote participants
Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in event delivery
Configure and operate AV systems (Biamp, Shure, Logitech, Cisco, etc.)
Ensure equipment is tested, maintained, and optimized for performance
Ensure all events are delivered to a high professional standard
Maintain technical documentation, equipment inventories, and best practices
Analyze event performance and stakeholder feedback to drive continuous improvement
Travel globally (20%) to oversee event execution and ensure high standards are maintained
Provide on-site leadership, coordination, and troubleshooting during live events
Qualification
Required
Minimum of five years of hands-on experience managing A/V technology, video conferencing platforms and associated equipment required for live, virtual and hybrid events in a global professional environment
Vendor / Supplier management experience
Proficiency in virtual event platforms and broadcast technologies including MS Teams Townhall, Webex and Zoom
Demonstrate exceptional emotional intelligence, discretion, and professionalism when engaging with high-profile individuals
Exhibit a collaborative mindset and proactive approach to problem-solving and stakeholder engagement
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with confidence in engaging senior executives and board members
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain composure under pressure
Must be legally able to work in the U.S. without requirement of any type of visa sponsorship or transfer now or at any time in the future
Preferred
CMP (Certified Meeting Professional), CTS (Certified Technology Specialist), or equivalent preferred
ITILv4 or similar process-oriented certifications preferred
