Responsibilities

Conduct new business and recurring field audits on our clients’ borrowers
Collect and consolidate a series of data and reports provided by the Company
Analyze trends, conduct sample testing, and generate a thorough understanding of the Company’s collateral base and assess potential collateral risk and lender exposure
Effectively communicate with our clients’ borrowers (Manager to C-Level Executives), our clients (Lenders) and Ascend Management daily
Complete field examinations in a timely manner while maintaining Ascends’ reputation for quality

Required

Experience in a related field (internships included)
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
Advanced Proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, Vlookups, Sumifs, If statements)
General understanding of accounting and financial statements
Willingness and desire to travel up to ~ 25%
A valid U.S. Driver's License
Strong business acumen with a general understanding of accounting
Self-starter, capable of learning processes/procedures and continuously driving towards self-improvement
Organized and committed to meeting daily and/or weekly deadlines
Ability to be flexible and manage multiple concurrent objectives and/or projects, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation
Understanding of the necessity and value of accuracy and attention to detail
Highly analytical, capable of preparing/manipulating data to summarize & understanding trends/statistics
Strong communication skillset, capable of leading discussions with the Company, Lender and Management
Exceptional writing skills, capable of writing reports weekly and effectively communicating findings
“Can do” attitude with the capacity to pivot and/or think outside the box
