Senior Reservoir Engineer
NCPA is seeking a Reservoir Engineer to play a critical role in optimizing geothermal steam production, plant reliability, and generation efficiency. This role blends hands-on engineering analysis with strategic problem-solving, project leadership, and collaboration across operations, management, and regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities
Analyze production, thermodynamic, geologic, and geophysical data to maximize steam supply and plant generation
Troubleshoot complex plant, reservoir, and equipment performance issues
Forecast steam supply, generation capacity, and reservoir reserves
Develop reservoir models, injection strategies, and efficiency improvements
Recommend pipeline, control system, and operational enhancements
Manage and lead capital and operational projects from planning through execution
Prepare technical reports, budgets, maps, and regulatory submissions
Collaborate with plant operations, engineering teams, and external regulators
Represent NCPA with regulatory agencies, technical committees, and industry groups
Lead technical projects and troubleshooting efforts with minimal direction
Serve as a key engineering resource to optimize plant output and reduce operating costs
Act as project manager for assigned initiatives and capital improvements
Lead the most complex, multi-year, multidisciplinary engineering projects
Provide technical leadership, coaching, and performance oversight for staff
Serve as a primary technical representative with regulatory agencies
May step into Plant Manager or O&M Supervisor roles as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred)
5+ years of power plant or production engineering experience
California Professional Engineer license (highly desirable)
Bachelor's degree in Engineering plus Master's in Reservoir Engineering
6+ years of experience, preferably in geothermal or steam field operations
California Professional Engineer license (highly desirable)
