Responsibilities

Commitment to Safety
Demonstrates a strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines
Promotes a culture of safety within the organization by leading by example and encouraging others to prioritize safety
Promptly reports any safety incidents or near-misses to the appropriate personnel and contributes to the investigation process
Active participation in safety-related programs and initiatives is required as necessary. This includes involvement in the safety committee on a rotating schedule, as well as participation in Risk Assessments, Exposure Hunts, department inspections, and change management activities
Obtain certification in all PVS level 1 (Plastics Specialist and/or FNL) Training Checklist items (attached) within six weeks of hiring
Individual must be flexible and present the ability to become certified in multiple focus factory areas
Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment
Operate complex manufacturing equipment following established procedures and Control Plans
Read and interpret the Discrete Job Routing Sheet and Repetitive(s)
Perform quality checks as documented
Complete necessary computer transactions or paperwork
Notifies appropriate Personnel of any incidents or situations that would trigger implementation of the contingency plan
Maintain established production standards
Accountable for personal goals and departmental goals
Ability to successfully complete training and operate PIT’s
Train new associates in essential job functions
Ability to work well with others in a team environment
Excellent attendance required
Ability to work overtime as requested or required, including extended shifts and weekends
Full time presence required

Qualification

Required

High School Diploma and/or GED required
Prior experience with computerized data collection systems
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to operate and be certified on a variety of tasks, including operating manufacturing equipment, following established Standard Operating Procedures
