Quantitative Recruiter
Smith Hanley Associates is seeking a Quantitative Recruiter to join their collaborative recruiting team focused on placing top quantitative, trading, and technology talent within leading financial institutions. This role involves supporting hiring across various sectors while managing the full recruitment lifecycle and building long-term relationships with candidates and clients.
Responsibilities
Partner with hiring managers and clients to understand quantitative, trading, and technology hiring needs
Source, screen, and engage candidates across quantitative research, trading, data science, engineering, and risk roles
Manage the full recruitment lifecycle: intake, sourcing, interviewing, coordination, offer negotiation, and closing
Build and maintain long-term relationships with candidates and clients
Collaborate closely with teammates to share market intelligence, sourcing strategies, and candidate insights
Maintain detailed and accurate tracking of candidate activity and client interactions
Represent the firm with professionalism, discretion, and integrity
Qualification
Required
2+ years of recruiting experience within financial services, quantitative, technology, or related fields
Strong understanding of quantitative, trading, or financial markets roles (or a strong desire to learn)
Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills
High attention to detail and strong follow-through
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-based environment
Comfortable managing multiple searches simultaneously
