CDL Class A Tour Manager - Arkansas
SPEVCO is a company that designs and operates Special Event Vehicles for various purposes. They are seeking a full-time Class A CDL Tour Manager to engage high school students in Arkansas about skilled trade careers through interactive events.

Responsibilities
We'll train you to set up this custom, double-expandable trailer and to operate all of the various interactive stations and simulators onboard the trailer
You'll travel the state, typically Monday - Friday
Specific schedules may vary from week to week
Breaks are built around the school schedule, such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and some time during summers
As a Class A CDL holder, you will safely drive the event Tractor/Trailer to each event site to set up for the day
Execute the day's event, and pack up for the next day's event in partnership with a Brand Ambassador
You'll ensure the event trailer and all interactive exhibits and simulators are clean, operational, and safe
You'll be expected to assist the students with the interactive components of the trailer (approximately 25-30 students per class onboard the event trailer)
Tear down the trailer and pack exhibits each day at the end of the event
While tour stops are pre-planned, you'll need to work with your point of contact at each school/event site to ensure the day's events are properly planned for
Full training will be provided, including safe operation of the event trailer, operation of all simulators and technology aboard the trailer, talking points, ELDs, and more
Qualification
Required
Must be a resident of Arkansas, currently live in that state, and have an Arkansas Class A driver's license
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Desire to work with high school-aged students (it helps to be 'young at heart', regardless of your age)
Ability to engage and create excitement around careers in various skilled trades
A valid Class A driver's license with a clean driving record and a valid DOT Medical Certificate is required
2 Years of Class A driving experience with 53ft trailers
Some schools and/or school systems may require that you agree to a background check before arriving on-site
Clean criminal and motor vehicle background (you're working with young people on school property)
Must have the physical and mental strength and endurance to be able to perform duties, in at times extreme environments, as well as the ability to handle stressors of the position in operational and administrative situations
Required to frequently lift and move 50-100 pounds
Expected to stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, lift, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, talk, hear, taste, smell, see, and operate objects, tools, and controls
Preferred
Experience with moving and setting up custom expandable event trailers, strongly preferred
Comfortable with public speaking in front of small groups, and working with individuals
Strong client service skills and a desire to help our clients achieve their goals
Comfortable troubleshooting mechanical and technology problems with SPEVCO's expert support
Ability to self-manage, and work independently and as part of a team for long periods of time
Computer skills – Ability to use a tablet computer (Android-based), email, MS Suite, various Web-Based applications, ELDs, etc
Willingness to maintain a 'show-ready' clean vehicle and exhibit
Strong safety mindset and desire to be part of, and promote our safety culture
Must be the safest of drivers over the road
