Responsibilities
Oversees and monitors local area networks, wide area networks, network segments, and other data communication systems as needed to improve performance and ensuring smooth operation
Responsible for ordering network equipment, including but not limited to firewalls, switches
Configures, racks, tests network equipment
Provides regular network maintenance for patching and updates
Diagnoses and fixes problems or potential problems with the network
Responsible for any necessary cabling
All other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Good knowledge of networking concepts and troubleshooting
Strong verbal communication skills
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to understand business objectives
Team oriented with excellent interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to work with other IT department members to identify root problems and design solutions to resolve
Ability to handle multiple priorities through excellent time management and organizational skills
Accountability, assertiveness, dependability, and responsiveness are essential
Knowledge of network security and design principles
Associated Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology required
Preferred
Experience working with external vendors/suppliers and contractors
