The Associate Data Engineer will support data integration work, troubleshoot data issues, and contribute to data validation and transformation efforts under the direction of the IT Manager of Data & Cloud Services.

Responsibilities
Support the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines and database systems
Manage data quality, supporting data integration across internal and external systems, and maintaining metadata and data dictionaries
Write and update technical documentation for collaboration and knowledge sharing with team members
Support the development of reports and visualizations based on established report definitions
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
0-2 years of related work experience in data engineering or architecture required
Familiarity with data systems and infrastructures, pipelines, and data sets required
Strong command of relational databases and SQL; Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) data into a relational database required
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure technologies
Excellent listening, interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills
Ability to use good judgment, take initiative, and make recommendations in resolving problems
Ability to work long and irregular hours as necessary in response to technical difficulties
Preferred
STEM-related Associate's degree preferred
0-2 years of Python strongly preferred
Familiarity with GitHub
