HR Manager-Direct Hire-5 Years Experience Required

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced HR Manager to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The HR Manager will drive engagement, compliance, and operational excellence while maintaining a strong presence on the production floor and partnering with corporate HR for various personnel processes.

Responsibilities

Maintain a strong presence on the production floor, engaging regularly with employees and reinforcing company culture
Partner closely with Corporate Human Resources and Payroll to process salary changes, new hires, terminations, and personnel updates
Lead the full onboarding process from offer letter through Day One, including orientation, I-9 verification, and new hire documentation
Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, leaves, and employee communications
Manage workers’ compensation reports, unemployment and disability cases, and ensure accurate recordkeeping
Serve as a key point of contact for employee relations—addressing concerns, mediating conflicts, and conducting investigations
Participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations, escalating complex matters to the VP of Human Resources as needed
Track and document compliance with required and optional training programs, including safety, anti-harassment, certifications, and licensure
Administer compensation programs by writing job descriptions, evaluating roles, conducting wage and salary surveys, and recommending merit and promotional increases

Required

Minimum 5 years of experience as an HR Generalist or HR Manager, manufacturing experience REQUIRED
Strong knowledge of state, federal, and local employment and labor laws
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer-service mindset
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and administratively strong
Ability to work independently, manage a diverse workload, and handle sensitive matters with discretion
