Maintenance Manager
Axion Recruitment is seeking a Maintenance Manager for a manufacturing and recycling facility. The role involves managing the maintenance department, overseeing equipment repairs, and improving operational efficiency while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Responsibilities
Managing Maintenance department with up to 55 Technicians on multiple shifts
Manages production schedules, equipment repairs, preventive and corrective maintenance, and installation of machinery, tools, and equipment to ensure uninterrupted operations
Plans, develops, and implements new maintenance methods, processes, and procedures to improve operational efficiency and equipment reliability
Reviews new product and process plans; collaborates with design and engineering teams to determine equipment requirements, upgrades, and modifications
Oversees requisitioning, purchasing, and availability of tools, equipment, spare parts, and supplies required to support manufacturing and maintenance operations
Directs fabrication, modification, and rebuilding of machines, tools, fixtures, and production equipment
Leads maintenance activities for plant utility systems, including heat, steam, electrical power, gas, compressed air, and related infrastructure to ensure continuous supply
Inspects operating machinery and equipment to ensure compliance with operational, safety, and performance standards
Manages and continuously improves the preventive maintenance program in coordination with engineering and maintenance teams
Works closely with management, engineering, and quality personnel to resolve maintenance issues and recommend improvements to equipment performance and reliability
Reviews production, quality, and maintenance reports and metrics to plan, adjust, and prioritize maintenance activities
Prepares and manages the maintenance department budget; monitors and controls expenditures to remain within budgetary guidelines
Directs training, development, and performance management of maintenance personnel
Works with employee representatives to address concerns and resolve grievances in a timely and professional manner
Ensures compliance with all environmental, health, safety, and housekeeping policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Qualification

4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field or equivalent experience
Excellent interpersonal communications skills; verbal and written
5 years experience in maintenance supervision and management
Preferred
Expertise in predictive maintenance, reliability engineering and Root Cause Analysis is preferred
Environmental training applicable to the job
