Principal DevOps Engineer (Cortex Observability)

Responsibilities
Architect, deploy, and manage scalable and reliable cloud-native solutions in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform and automate configuration management with tools like Ansible
Build, maintain, and optimize robust CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI to enable rapid and reliable software delivery
Deploy, manage, and secure containerized workloads using Kubernetes (GKE) and Docker, ensuring high availability and resilience
Implement and manage comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks
Proactively collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps practices, troubleshoot complex production issues, and improve operational efficiency
Ensure security best practices are integrated into infrastructure, networking, and application deployment processes
Participate in an on-call rotation to maintain platform reliability and provide timely resolution for production incidents
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree with 12 years of experience, or Master's degree with 8 years of experience, or PhD with 5 years of experience in a relevant field
Extensive experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure roles
Strong expertise in architecting and managing solutions in a major cloud provider (GCP preferred, AWS acceptable)
Deep knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools, particularly Terraform and Ansible
Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language such as Python, Go, or Bash
Proven experience managing large-scale Kubernetes environments (GKE, EKS) and containerized workloads
Preferred
Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field
Hands-on experience with CI/CD automation tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or ArgoCD
Solid understanding of cloud networking principles, IAM, firewalls, and security best practices
Experience troubleshooting complex production issues in high-scale, distributed systems
