Sr. Main Engine Propulsion Engineer - Lunar Permanence

Blue Origin is working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems. They are seeking a Main Engine Propulsion System engineer to lead integration and testing of the main engines on the MK2 Crew Lander, playing a key role in developing the Lunar Transportation system for human return to the Moon.

Responsibilities

Lead integration and testing of the main engines on the MK2 Crew Lander
Work directly with NASA and National Team Partners as part of the Human Landing System (HLS) Sustaining Lunar Development (SLD) program
Develop the Lunar Transportation system that will return humans to the Moon and extend human presence permanently beyond the bounds of Earth

Required

B.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, Physics, Systems Engineering or related technical subject area
8+ years of experience in developing spacecraft propulsion systems
Professional experience with main engine gimbals, feedlines, and controls
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a fast paced, dynamic work environment with partners
Professional experience designing propulsion systems or hardware in CAD software such as CREO or Siemens NX
Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills with ability to directly interface with external parties including government and commercial entities
Willingness to work on-site with occasional travel

Preferred

M.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, Physics, Systems Engineering or related technical subject area
Expertise in CREO
Experience performing structural analysis or fluid analysis of propulsion systems
Experience with upper stages and spacecraft
Experience with the entire life cycle of a propulsion or fluid system
