Responsibilities
Record, reconcile, and report accounting transactions in compliance with GAAP on a monthly basis
Prepare or assist in the preparation of monthly budget variance reports for department managers
Support the development of financial schedules and exhibits for internal and external reporting
Assist Accounts Payable with proper coding and allocation of departmental expenses
Maintain vendor records and set up new vendor accounts in accordance with vendor management policies
Coordinate year-end 1099 reporting and ensure timely and accurate submission
Prepare or assist in the preparation of prepaid expense schedules, accounts payable accruals, and fixed asset depreciation
Stay current with accounting standards and best practices through ongoing professional development
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Team-oriented with a positive, professional attitude
Preferred
Up to 2 years of relevant accounting experience preferred
Knowledge of mortgage servicing and various loan products is a plus
