Responsibilities
Design, implement, and support site-to-site and remote access VPNs in secure, high-availability environments
Configure and manage enterprise networking equipment including switches, routers, firewalls, and access points
Own VLANs, routing, subnetting, and traffic segmentation to optimize performance and security
Ensure network uptime through HA configurations (HSRP, VRRP, LACP, failover strategies)
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance using SNMP, Syslog, NetFlow, and similar tools
Enforce network security best practices, firewall policies, and secure access controls
Support MFA, RBAC, and secure communication protocols
Partner with internal security teams to remediate vulnerabilities and support audits
Support Windows Server and Active Directory environments as they relate to network services
Assist with Hyper-V environments from a networking/connectivity perspective
Provide limited support for load balancers (F5, HAProxy) related to traffic routing
Automate networking or operational tasks using PowerShell where applicable
Qualification
Required
3–5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise networking roles
Deep expertise in VPN technologies (site-to-site, remote access, secure tunnels)
Strong background in on-prem, self-hosted environments
Advanced understanding of routing, switching, firewalls, and network security
Experience supporting high-availability and failover network designs
Ability to troubleshoot complex network and connectivity issues end-to-end
Preferred
Support Windows Server and Active Directory environments as they relate to network services
Assist with Hyper-V environments from a networking/connectivity perspective
Provide limited support for load balancers (F5, HAProxy) related to traffic routing
Automate networking or operational tasks using PowerShell where applicable
