Responsibilities
Work closely with Director, Statistics or designee, to provide input into Standard Operating Procedures for the Statistics department and statistical programming standards
Communicate with sponsors on statistical issues
Review and provide input to protocol, CRFs, and database design
Prepare statistical analysis plans, including template tables, listings, and figures
Perform sample size calculations
Develop randomization schedules
Create analysis datasets and SAS® programs for tables, listings, figures, statistical analyses, and guide programming resources in the above
Perform quality control procedures including developing a validation plan of statistical output, including tables, listings, figures, and statistical analyses
Create program documentation including data definitions
Assist in development of SAS® program and macro library
Write or review statistical sections of clinical study reports
Present, teach, and support statistical results and research within the department and at conferences
Suggest and develop efficiencies within the Statistics department
Work closely with Data Management, Medical Writing, and Project Management to ensure seamless processes and achieve timelines for assigned studies
Ability to provide mentorship to junior statisticians, as necessary
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. or Master's degree in Statistics or closely related field
3+ years of experience in pharmaceutical industry with Ph.D. or 5+ years of experience with Master's degree
Demonstrated excellence in SAS® programming and CDISC datasets
Broad-based industry regulations and standards knowledge and current understanding of statistical trends
Ability to provide clear direction based on sound business understanding
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment with a sense of urgency
Ability to handle project adjustments, shifting priorities, demands, and timelines
Ability to communicate effectively in a verbal and written form to a variety of stakeholders
Preferred
Experience with nQuery Advisor
