Machine Controls Specialist
GE Aerospace is part of the aerospace industry, and they are seeking a Machine Controls Specialist to support manufacturing asset and process performance improvement efforts. Responsibilities
Effectively analyze machine and process data to identify insights, opportunities and relationships that support continuous improvement efforts
Identify and drive projects that improve and sustain machine performance
Establish ownership and accountability for machine control platforms. Plan for obsolescence and manage revisions effectively
Create/maintain documentation for controls systems
Collaborate with broad range of cross functional teams to support improvement efforts and execute projects
Provide support to promote skills development of technical staff
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 5 years of experience, working with machine controls in a manufacturing environment
Experience with the programming languages / data types described in the IEC 61131-3 standard. Examples: Ladder Diagram, Structured Text, Sequential Function Chart
Preferred
Associate's degree from an accredited university or college is preferred. Equivalent certification and experience will be considered
Experience with the Following is highly preferred: Machine Motion Control Platforms (e.g. Delta Tau, Fanuc, Mitsubishi)
PLC & HMI Integration (e.g. Omron, Allen Bradley, Automation Direct)
AutoCAD / AutoCAD Electrical
Machine Data Collection Interfaces (MTConnect)
