Staffing & Recruiting
Responsibilities
Sweeps, dust mops, and wet mops
Vacuums, spot cleans walls, cleans glass / ledges
Sanitizes patient room surfaces, sanitizes bathrooms
Performs discharge cleaning of patient rooms
Cleans equipment and notifies the supervisor or lead person of equipment requiring repair
Reports safety hazards to supervisor or lead person
Collects trash from patient rooms, nurses' stations, ancillary areas
Pulls trash outside around the grounds of the facility
Cleans and sanitizes ancillary areas
Assists in cleaning of emergency spills observed or reported
Performs any other tasks which may be assigned by the supervisor or lead person
Qualification
Required
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
Good communication skills
3 months - 1 year of environmental services experience in a hospital
Follow oral and written instructions
Capable of operating heavy cleaning equipment such as vacuums, housekeeping carts, etc
Preferred
High School Diploma or equivalent GED, preferred
