They are seeking a detail-oriented Locating Technician to mark out water, sewer, storm, and GSI lines while maintaining communication with relevant departments and ensuring accurate documentation of mark-outs.

Responsibilities

Receiving one-call tickets daily

Meticulously routing each stop

Driving between locations to mark out water, sewer, storm, and GSI lines

Maintaining constant communication with GPRS and Philadelphia Water Department staff

Promptly responding to inquiries

Accurate documentation of mark-outs at each stop

Uploading necessary photos to respective ticket folders

Analyzing as-built drawings to determine the location of underground water lines

Using various measuring devices to locate utilities based on known physical reference points

Placing marks/markers within required distances using the proper marking device as per GPRS requirements

Required

You must have the drive and ability to learn equipment to complete projects, in a supportive role

Must be able to pass a thorough background check, drug screen (including ongoing random testing) along with a valid driver's license and driving record review

Must be physically capable of carrying up to 60 pounds

Work / walk on concrete and/or walk for long periods of time - up to 5 miles a day

Must live within or willing to move within 30 - 50 miles of posted city
