Responsibilities
Develop and coordinate lines of communication outside the organization
Provide strategic advice and guidance to an internal team of Humana associates, as well as external public relations agency partners
Ensure Corporate Communications is successfully helping to position each of these businesses as they pursue performance and growth goals
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
Minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate communications, with a focus on external communications, public relations and corporate reputation
Proven experience in complex business environments and regulatory industries
Strong understanding of the healthcare sector, including primary care, home health and pharmacy
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to manage multi-stakeholder communications and build relationships with diverse audiences
Experience in crisis communications and media relations
Strong leadership and team management skills
Ability to think strategically and execute tactically
MUST have experience in Media relations
Preferred
Medicaid or Medicare experience
