Senior LevelTekgence Inc is seeking a Senior Virtualization Engineer to support a large-scale platform modernization initiative, migrating enterprise workloads from VMware to Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization. This role requires hands-on expertise in virtualization technologies and involves leading the migration of virtual machines, designing and optimizing virtualization environments, and collaborating with various teams to ensure seamless operations.

Responsibilities
Lead and execute the migration of virtual machines from VMware to Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization
Design, configure, and optimize OpenShift Virtualization environments to host enterprise VM workloads
Perform hands-on platform engineering, including build, migration, validation, and performance tuning
Integrate and manage compute, storage, and network components across hybrid infrastructure
Collaborate with infrastructure, storage, and network teams to ensure seamless platform operations
Troubleshoot complex virtualization, storage, and network issues in a production environment
Qualification
Required
Strong hands-on experience with VMware and Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization / Virtualization Engine
Proven experience migrating virtual machines from VMware to an alternative virtualization platform (OpenShift or equivalent)
Solid understanding of enterprise virtualization concepts (compute, networking, storage, HA/DR)
Experience working in fast-paced, large-scale infrastructure environments with minimal ramp-up time
Preferred
Experience with HPE servers and Dell storage platforms
Strong networking background, especially with Juniper technologies
Storage architecture and performance tuning experience
Exposure to alternative virtualization platforms beyond VMware
