Critical Infrastructure Intel Analyst

Responsibilities

Conduct and manage data research projects
Assist in the development of threat assessments and trend analysis regarding threats to critical infrastructure in North Carolina
Review and distill intelligence information to ensure accuracy and proper dissemination
Assign strategic planning projects requiring close coordination with other state, local, and federal agencies
Develop threat assessment bulletins, relevant analysis documents, and other tasks as assigned
Perform duties as directed by the Homeland Security Chief, NCSBI Supervisory personnel, or the SERT Leader during activations of the State Emergency Response Team or the Intelligence Operations Center
Work overtime, overnight, weekend or holiday hours with minimal notice during emergencies/disasters, planned events and/or incidents

Required

Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of progressively responsible emergency management, emergency services, or other professional experience directly related to the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience
The selected candidate must be able to pass a rigorous security clearance process, to include a background investigation and polygraph as required for employees assigned to the Information Sharing and Analysis Center (ISAAC)
Candidate must have the ability to obtain a U.S. Department of Homeland Security National Security Clearance at the SECRET level within 12 months of hire and maintain it throughout employment

Preferred

Experience with critical infrastructure protection and/or with intelligence research and analysis, to include experience associated with cybersecurity
