Responsibilities

As the Deputy Director of the Customer Experience Directorate (J6X), serving as the Acting Director in the absence of the Director, with leadership responsibility to carry out the mission and functions of the Directorate
Shares in directing, enhancing and maintaining stakeholder relationship management by anticipating, participating, influencing, communicating, planning and negotiating IT matters with stakeholders, customers, leadership and J6 Enterprise Service Areas (ESAs) to ensure IT services, products and capabilities support mission needs
Assists in directing the Strategic Communications Division and Business Relationship Managers in facilitating J6 strategic communications efforts by participating in the creation and dissemination of effective J6 communication messages as a means of customer relationship management
Exercises delegated managerial authority to set Directorate short, mid, and long-term tactical and strategic plans ensuring alignment with the DLA Strategic Plan, J6 Digital Strategy, J6 Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and other published Agency guidance
Coordinating with senior leaders within other ESAs to ensure all facets of IT remain available, reliable and secure
Supervises the Business Relationship Management Section, directly supervises the work of GS-13 and GS-14 level Business Relationship Managers (BRMs) who are the principal advisors to the J6X Director, the DLA Executive Director of Information Technology / Chief Information Officer (CIO), and the Deputy CIO on all IT matters concerning assigned customer organizations and senior executives

A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-15 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Familiarity with the design, strategic analysis, long range forecasting and development of IT systems and requirements. Exceptional understanding, coordination, negotiation, and integration of enterprise and DoD wide IT operations in support of DLA and DoD operations. Ability to make major recommendations on significant internal and external program and policy issues affecting the overall organization, such as establishing an enterprise governance for prioritizing and adjudicating enterprise IT infrastructure projects or setting the priority and direction for the IT site assessment visit (SAV) program. Ability to communicate clearly both with technical and managerial leadership and to provide advisory services to top level Agency management (SES and Flag Officer level) regarding IT strategies, IT services, IT capabilities, and IT Customer Experience
