Responsibilities
Develop and maintain Python web applications using Flask (backend) and Dash/Plotly (frontend)
Design and integrate REST APIs and backend logic using clean, object-oriented programming practices
Build scalable applications capable of handling millions of quantitative biological data points
Contribute to shared codebases with strong version control, testing, documentation, and CI/CD practices
Collaborate closely with bioinformaticians, experimental scientists, and IT teams to support discovery research
Design intuitive data visualizations to accelerate biological insight and decision-making
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in computational biology, bioinformatics, computer science, or related field; or Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience
Strong experience in Python web application development
Hands-on experience building Flask/Dash applications across backend and frontend
Experience designing and integrating REST APIs
Preferred
Experience working with quantitative biological data, proteomics, or other omics datasets
Familiarity with relational or NoSQL databases and data modeling
Exposure to AWS, CI/CD pipelines, and bioinformatics workflows (e.g., Nextflow)
