Responsibilities

Provide on-site technical support for chemical applications in upstream and midstream oil and gas operations
Conduct field testing, sampling, and performance evaluations of treatment programs
Support program total system analysis as well as new business opportunities through leading of field surveys
Troubleshoot operational issues and recommend corrective actions or product recommendations
Manage monitoring, and optimization of chemical treatment programs
Serve as the technical point of contact for customers, addressing performance concerns and providing data-driven recommendations
Collaborate with sales and account management teams to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
Present technical findings and engage in chemical review meetings with customers
Oversee or participate in laboratory testing and field trials for new or reformulated products
Provide specific metrics for customer success and understanding of customer needs for new products
Understand the market dynamics to provide expertise to product development on product needs
Analyze data and prepare detailed technical reports and recommendations
Work closely with R&D and product development teams to validate and improve formulations
Train field technicians, operators, and customers on proper chemistry, product application and working safety
Develop technical training materials and conduct workshops or seminars
Mentor junior technical staff in field troubleshooting and customer engagement
Write technical recommendations, and full survey summaries to include findings, testing, results and conclusions
Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs), manuals, and best practice documents
Ensure compliance with company and industry standards for documentation and reporting

Required

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related technical field
5+ years of experience in technical service, field engineering, or production chemistry within the oil and gas industry
Hands-on experience with chemical treatment programs (e.g., corrosion inhibition, scale control, emulsion breaking, biocides, etc.)
Strong background in field operations, data analysis, and customer engagement
Excellent technical troubleshooting and analytical skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for direct customer interaction
Proficient in technical writing, report preparation, and presentation development
Ability to lead and train field teams effectively
Knowledge of HSE standards and safe field practices
Proficient with Microsoft Office and data analysis software (Excel, Power BI, etc.)
Willingness and ability to travel to field sites, often in remote or challenging environments
Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record in accordance with Company policy
Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction
Must complete and pass all required pre-employment screenings
