Responsibilities
Design, evaluate, and support AC power distribution systems
Support AC UPS systems and backup generators, including testing and maintenance
Design and maintain DC telecommunications power systems and battery plants
Perform power system assessments, troubleshooting, and reliability improvements
Support upgrades, expansions, and modernization of power infrastructure
Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards and safety requirements
Collaborate with operations, vendors, and project teams on power-related initiatives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
4–10 years of relevant engineering experience
EIT certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license
Hands-on experience with AC power distribution
Hands-on experience with AC UPS systems and generators
Hands-on experience with DC telecommunications power systems and batteries
Must reside in Alaska, preferably Anchorage, Wasilla, or Eagle River
Preferred
Experience supporting mission-critical or telecom facilities
Familiarity with power system testing, commissioning, and maintenance practices
Experience working in cold-weather or remote environments
