Responsibilities

Develop, communicate, and execute business development strategies to drive multi-year growth in core aerospace and adjacent markets
Build and maintain high-level relationships with major OEM, CAD/PAD, and emerging technology customers. Lead negotiations for significant new contracts, pricing agreements, and long-term partnerships
Identify new product and market opportunities through competitive analysis, market research, and customer engagement. Provide strategic recommendations to the VP and executive leadership team
Provide direct leadership to all team members. Mentor staff in customer strategy, forecasting, and proposal development
Oversee preparation of accurate multi-year orders and sales forecasts to support corporate planning and financial objectives. Guide the Book & Ship and Division Review processes
Direct the development of complex proposals and pricing strategies in collaboration with Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Contracts
Work closely with the marketing team to ensure alignment between business development activities and brand awareness campaigns
Partner with the VP and other senior leaders on strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, and key corporate initiatives
Represent the organization at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to enhance visibility and establish thought leadership

Required

Bachelor's degree (Business, Engineering, or related field) required
Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in aerospace OEM and/or aftermarket business development or related fields
At least 3–5 years in a senior management role
Demonstrated success in strategic planning, key account management, and high-value contract negotiations
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations
Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
Strong understanding of aerospace market dynamics, government contracting (FAR/DFARS), and OEM procurement processes
Exceptional leadership, mentoring, and team-building abilities
Advanced analytical and forecasting skills, with proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of influencing at the executive level

MBA or advanced degree preferred
