Responsibilities

Purchase materials, supplies, and services on the most favorable terms for the organization
Qualifying suppliers, monitoring and ensuring supplier quality and delivery
Evaluating bids, negotiating prices and terms for purchased goods and services
Tracking purchases, and maintaining a current database of supplier information
Work on complex procurements of significant dollar value
Manage multiple service type contracts
Ensure supplier performance to SNC and its missions, meeting supplier delivery, quality, service, cost and technical requirements through the entire purchase order lifecycle
Support the identification and development of current and new suppliers to support Category goals
Monitoring, measuring and reporting supplier(s) progress
Contract appropriately, ensuring SNC protection and obligating suppliers to clearly specified requirements
Reduce the cost and increase the value of using the preferred SNC supply base over time
Lead a given procurement, and represent internal teammates who have communicated this requirement
Provide supply base expertise to SNC proposals and programs
Ensure accurate requirements are defined and understood and accepted by the supplier(s)
Foster and lead supplier-related communication and relationships
Act as the Point of Contact between SNC / Program(s) and the supply base
Own the relationship between SNC and suppliers, facilitating executive and PM interaction
Lead negotiations to include deliverable requirements, terms and conditions, pricing, schedule, and simple milestone development
Document acquisitions and maintain files in compliance with government regulations, company policy, and best business practices
Track and communicate progress on RFQs and POs
Identify risks and opportunities, and develop risk management/mitigation plans and strategies
Status supply base activity to programs and the SCM organization
Develop and drive given Category strategy integration with stakeholders across the BA(s) and enterprise
Ensure a collaborative approach to strategic thinking and problem solving
Support department goals including on-time delivery, negotiations, and PR processing time

Required

Bachelor's Degree in a related field and typically 3 or more years of relevant experience
Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
Supply chain or logistics experience

Preferred

The ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance may be required
Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) compliance
Experience working in CostPoint or other ERP systems
Proficiency in oral and written communications
Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
Understanding of all aspects of finance and accounting related to procurement
Complete understanding of the procurement lifecycle
Relevant certifications (CPIM, CSSP, CPM, etc.)
