Project Professional

They are seeking a Senior Environmental Professional to contribute to consulting solutions in various service areas, including renewable energy and remediation, while managing projects and collaborating with clients and subcontractors.
Civil Engineering
Responsibilities
Work on a variety of environmental projects throughout the Region, but primarily in Illinois
Support environmental site assessments, remedial and pre-design investigations, test borings, well installations, environmental sampling of various media (soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, air), and technical oversight of subcontractors
Conduct data management and analysis, prepare and review work plans and technical reports, and assist in preparation of presentations and proposals to clients and regulators
Develop investigation and remedial strategies for various types of sites and contaminants and collaborate in the design and installation of remediation solutions, primarily with the Illinois EPA’s (IEPA) Site Remediation and LUST Programs, with respect to client’s property redevelopment goals
Manage and execute project success (scopes, schedules, budgets, deliverables, client satisfaction)
Interact with subcontractors, clients and regulatory agency representatives
Manage projects and coach junior staff
Assist with proposals and business development activities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geology or similar Science
8+ years of relevant professional experience preferably in environmental consulting
Excellent project management and communication skills
Proven and concise technical report writing ability is a must
Willingness to travel on temporary assignments as needed
Valid U.S. driver's license
Preferred
IEPA Site Remediation Program and conceptual site modelling experience
Experience with Phase I environmental site assessments
Experience with renewable energy project consulting and permitting
Experience with or interest in PFAS investigations
Familiarity with geotechnical, mining, landfills and/or construction services
Experience with software such as AutoCAD or ArcGIS
40-hour HAZWOPER training
