Human Resources Manager
PEG Staffing & Recruiting is seeking a Human Resources Manager to provide strategic leadership and hands-on guidance across all aspects of Human Resources. This role will oversee core HR functions while partnering closely with executive leadership to align people strategies with business objectives.
Responsibilities
Partner with executive and senior leadership to develop and execute HR strategies that support business goals, workforce growth, and operational efficiency
Translate business priorities into scalable people strategies, policies, and programs
Serve as a thought partner to leadership on organizational design, talent planning, succession planning, and change management
Lead recruitment strategy for professional and leadership-level roles, ensuring alignment with long-term workforce needs
Guide job architecture, role design, and compensation planning using formal job evaluation methodologies to ensure internal equity and market competitiveness
Oversee onboarding strategies to support engagement, retention, and performance from day one
Serve as the escalation point for complex employee relations matters, investigations, and performance management issues
Coach and advise leaders on best practices related to employee engagement, conflict resolution, and workforce management
Champion a consistent, fair, and values-driven approach to employee relations across all locations
Oversee HR systems, reporting, and analytics to provide leadership with insights on headcount, turnover, compensation, and workforce trends
Use data to anticipate risks, identify opportunities, and drive informed decision-making
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, proactively addressing legislative changes
Lead internal audits, policy reviews, and compliance initiatives to mitigate organizational risk
Lead compensation planning initiatives, including salary structures, job evaluations, incentive planning, and benchmarking
Oversee benefits administration strategy in partnership with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure competitive and sustainable offerings
Support payroll oversight and ensure alignment between compensation practices and HR systems
Guide employee engagement strategies, recognition programs, and internal communications that support culture, morale, and retention
Ensure clear, consistent communication across all levels of the organization
Oversee workers’ compensation processes and claims management
Review and analyze exit interview data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
Lead or support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, including workforce analysis and reporting
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
Minimum of 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership or managerial responsibility
Proven ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on as needed
Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
Experience with HRIS, ATS, reporting tools, and job evaluation methodologies
Exceptional communication, coaching, and influencing skills
High level of discretion, integrity, and professional judgment
Strong project management and organizational skills
Preferred
Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or similarly complex environments strongly preferred
HR certification preferred (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP)
