InternCounty of Bucks is looking for a Technical Intern who will provide support and innovative solutions to current technology challenges. The role includes working with various technologies and collaborating with IT team members to address technical issues and improve business processes.
Responsibilities
Able to use new technology from a software, hardware, and A/V equipment
Be able to learn new products and technologies as they become available to find the best methods for using them
Motivated to do problem solving and have problem solving skills
Evaluating existing and emerging technologies and identify how they can be used to solve business needs
Create application designs and develop web pages to streamline business processes and programs
Providing customer support and documentation for programs and applications
Troubleshooting technical issues
Finding ways to increase productivity and reduce expenses
General understanding of n-tier architecture, IIS and SQL
Be able to take control of issues and take the lead
Identify and resolve problems affecting systems performance, efficiency, and availability in a timely manner
Recommend, schedule, and perform software improvements, upgrades, and/or purchases
Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans
Where necessary, provide end-user training and support through verbal and/or written communications
Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure software, products, and services
Performs similar or related duties as assigned/required
Qualification
Required
High School graduate or equivalent
A student currently matriculating in a 2 or 4 year college degree program in an IT-focused area
Working technical knowledge of current Windows operating systems
Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
Ability to conduct research into software issues and products as required
Ability to present ideas, solutions and document them in a user-friendly format & language
Highly self motivated and directed
Keen attention to detail
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Strong customer service orientation
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
